It's my pleasure to welcome you all.
Let me invite you to our second Borneo Diabetes Conference . Miri has been chosen to host this auspicious event as it is a beautiful city rich in heritage and culture.
We are well aware that Diabetes poses a huge economic burden and has social implications to the community and the country. Therefore, we need to approach this holistically with a strong emphasis on the need of primary prevention as well as training in fields of endocrinology and dietetics.
I once again welcome all of you to come and experience Miri first hand.
